WebGL Failure in Google Maps Sat View

I run CentOS v6. I'm getting a "Rats! WebGL hit a sang!" every time I try to look at the sat view in Chrome and Chromium, but Firefox seems to be OK. Map view is fine.

I do the automagic RHEL / CentOS "software update" regularly.

Any ideas?

I ran into a similar issue with WebGL (on Windows 10) in Chrome, see if this post helps:
