I've installed gd-2.0.35 on my Slackware 12 box form source and it looked like everything went according to plan. Now when trying to do a ./configure on the sources of Webaliser I get this error:
"configure: error: gd library not found.. please install libgd
What could be the problem? ... the gd library install worked, but the ./configure doesn't see it for some reason. How do I fix this?
IIRC, GD installs a config script for other apps to call when configuring. Do you have the file /usr/bin/gdlib-config or /usr/local/bin/gdlib-config? That is the file the Webaliser configure script is likely looking for and not finding. See if there is an option to pass the path of gdlib-config to the Webaliser configure switch.

Did you make any headway on this? I'm having the same issue.
