web browser hangs after a while of usage

I am using Mandrake 10 community distro since last 5 months, but now i am facing this weird problem ... the web browser( be it mozilla, netscape, firefox or konqueror) hangs after a few minutes i use it ..
I have no clue about the reason, but all other applications run fine during the browser turns non responding.

Can anybody help me fixing this problem ?

Are you using a hard or soft/winmodem, and what hard drives do you have ? There have been problems with SATA drives in combination with winmodems.

Open a terminal, and run (as root)
tail -f /var/log/messages
while you connect to the net, then watch what happens when the system freezes.
