Vnc Error


Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.

Also:

HOw do i set the defalt password for the VNCSERVER. I can't seem to find the file named passwd.

the error message you have given clearly states what is wrong *and* tells you how to fix it.

One thing though is that it's saying it is for display 0, which would probably be your local X server, how are you trying to use vncserver.

the password is asked for when there is no default set.

Dont find that file...

I dont find the file the error specifies to be removed.

Im trying to connect from my XP box to it...

But i havent been able to start it yet.

It seems that you can revise the password with the following command:
#vncpasswd

Still Receiving The same error....

I typed VNCSERVER.

Now its running.

How to i change it to display 0 again.
