Gnome in VNC - XKB Error
I am trying to run Gnome in VNC, so from the command prompt (in runlevel 3, putty) I type vncserver. It gives a message and than I connect using the tunnel putty setup. I type 127.0.0.1:1.
I can connect and see X.
Trouble is that GNome doesn't load properly. It says Error activating XKB configuration. And I see all the components, but they appear as a wire outline and becomes fully formed where I click, the top bar isn't in the right place.
Everything thing has a funny green bar at the top.
Weird thing is under the same account (David, regular user) it goes to Gnome normally, it's just in VNC it's not working properly.
So I think perhaps the startup file is wrong, can someone take a look and let me know?
I am running suse 9.3
Thanks,
David
