Post vmware


In my system i have installed redhat linux 4 enterprise edition.I am tried to install vmware server,But i am unable to install also i want to know how to run this vmware application means which one execute file in vmware

Guruvayur, it would definitely help if you could describe the steps you tried and where it is actually failing.

please be specific regarding teh steps used and the problems faced then only we can suggest some solution else we cant do anything. if you want to know how to use this tool then the homepage of vmware will serve the best for this purpose. thanks.

Actually i am installed vmware software through terminal.But i don't know how to run vmware.It means where is stored vmware in linux no vmware oriented files in usr/local/sbin.Then how can i run vmware software.Where is the executable stored in linux

On a Fedora system the installed VMware Player shows up under the menu Applications/System Tools/VMware Player (assuming the player version in this example).

To launch it from the commandline use:
$ /usr/bin/vmplayer

For the enterprise version slightly different names are used, I suppose.
