First of all, I'm using Fedora Core 2 w/Gnome and the latest version of Mozilla Thunderbird. I have the default "3 pane" configuration but the problem is that whenever I select or delete an email from the upper pane, the lower pane will jump around all over the place making it nearly impossible to see what I'm doing in the upper pane so that I must wait several seconds for it to stop jumping around before going on to delete additional emails.

Is this a bug or something and how do you fix it?. I'd much rather use Evolution but it does'nt have the return-receipt feature.

I'm using version 0.9 of Thunderbird with three panes and have not had this problem. Were you able to get a Fedora-specific RPM of Thunderbird, or did you install from the tar.gz package offered by Mozilla?

I'm using Mandrake 10.1 Official Edition.... I installed T'bird from the tar.gz package.
