Hi,

I've been trying to use ventrilo on wine.

First install was fine, second time I formatted and tried to set it back up again.

When I connect to one of my vents it acts as if the server host name is wrong (can't connect) even though it isn't.

Another vent it connects but shows no channels (there sure are channels) and no one can see me there.

Any ideas?

Some ideas off the top of my head:

#1: Firewall. Usually not an issue for outgoing, but it might be stopping you from seeing anything in return. Wild guess there, but maybe try it with the firewall down for a few minutes and see.

#2: Win32 drivers could be the culprit.

#3: The version of Wine you're using could even be an issue. You might have downloaded a CVS last time, and this time just grabbed whatever was available in the repositories, and might be older...or hell, could be newer than what you used before. Either of those factors could cause trouble.
