We are a non-profit organization trying to implement Linux(Ubuntu-right now using the lighter version –Xubuntu-). We are looking for the equivalent of all the MS products that we use. We already tested OpenOffice, but now we are looking for the alternative to MS Outlook. Outlook here connects to an Exchange server. I set up Evolution with that Exchange server and I’m able to send/received emails. The problem is I’m not able to see or use the Global Address List and I get: “Error loading addresssbook” Has anyone configured Evolution for an MS Exchange Server? If possible can you guide or provide us with a solution about this issue? Thanks…

You might want to also consider looking at Zimbra

yes I got it to work using this command:

./ximian-connector-setup-2.2

Replace the version number with yours. By doing this you will get a ximian email setup wizard. Now I'm able to see the GAL(Global Address List). I will take a look at zimbra and also I found something called citadel
