Question Usenet servers

How does one go about running or setting up a usenet news server on my webserver box running suse 10.0, I noticed I had the option to install a news server, inn I think it was, but how do you set it up, do you have to pull the news from somewhere else, or can you create your own groups, and have them propegate the net.

Any information appreciated.

I've used leafnode in the past for NNTP, but primarily for mirroring newsgroups. Leafnode gives you enough controls to determine what and when to download (mirror), who can and can't post.... etc...

Not sure about the other questions you had tho.

If you're going to mirror binary groups, plan on needing ALOT of diskspace and an ISP that won't freak when they see what you're doing.
