USB Keyboard Emulator for Linux 2.6 OS kernal

Hi Everyone,

I would first like to let everyone know that I am new to linux and to this form so please bare with me and my stupid and silly questions.

Currently have 2 linux boxes running 2.6 kernal. I would like connect the 2 boxes via USB cable and then run an automated test script one box 1 and see it preform on box 2. In order for this to occur I was told that I would need a USB Keyboard emulator software. So far I have had no luck, If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations on what I should do or change please let me know any information will be greatly appreciated and valued.

Thank you all for your time.
