Updating up2date Problems

Recently read the Red Hat alert about updating up2date, etc; I grabbed the 2 necessary RPMs, however I receive the below errors when executing: rpm -Fvh up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm

error: Failed dependencies:
up2date = 3.1.23 is needed by (installed) up2date-gnome-3.1.23-1

Does this mean I have to go through all these dependencies and remove them with rpm -e (name)?
Thanks.

just use --nodeps option and instead of installing one at a time, use the wildcard.

ie. rpm -Fvh --nodeps up2date*.rpm

edit: i'd actually just use the upgrade flag with the --force flag.

ie. rpm -Uvh --force --nodeps up2date*.rpm
