hi, i used bt to download a ripped dvd. However, I'm experiencing format that I don't know what to do with it. Also mplayer only plays part of the show (with no sound) and the other part of the show won't play at all. (i came across this kindda format before)
here's what my file look like under the movie folder:
batman.begins-done.nfo
CD1/ CD2/ Sample/ Subs/
under CD1, or CD2 (each has about 700 some mb)
batman.begins-cd1-done.r(number from 00 - 48 goes here)
batman.begins-cd1-done.sfv
batman.begins-cd1-done.rar
under Sample/
batman.begins-sample-done.avi (now this is the only format mplayer can play no problem, but its so short that its not even a movie....)
under Subs/
batman.begins-subs-done.rar batman.begins-subs-done.sfv
so... do i need another program to watch my ripped movie? or do i need to burn it on a cd and watch on a tv (its a little more then 700mb per disc)
You need rar to extract it. Dunno if there's a package for your distro but you can download from www.rarlabs.com , then just do "rar e whatever.rar" and use mplayer on the extracted file.
thanks for the tips aaa, it did work.
just wonder why would someone wanna rar a video format through bt, instead maybe he/she can use md5sum or something :P
It's cuz they get them from usenet to begin with, and on usenet you have to split big files up. They should extract them once they're off usenet but apparently alot of people don't bother.
