unable to watch tv on slackware 10

hello eveybody,
i got a nexus s pci card, i downloaded the driver from, compiled it and loaded the modules without problem, dmesg shows that v4l and the appropriate drivers are loaded..but when i launch xawtv or tvtime it shows a blank screen and a : /dev/video0 file not found
can somebody tell me what should i do or where should i look ?

Is "nexus" a digital sat/terrestrial card or a conventional analogic terrestrial card?
Linuxtv drivers are suited for digital TV only.

i think you have to cofigure the video in xawtv, ( change "overlay" to "grabimage" )
