unable to export the display


Hi
i am getting below error message when i am trying to install a product

InstallShield Wizard

i have exported the display, i am able to export xclock and also have all packages of x11

Might be able to give some help, if you provided some useful information. Like WHAT the mystery product is you're trying to install, on what version/distro of Linux, and what environment you've got on the workstation you're running the remote session from.

Did you try to do the installation from the console, since it's complaining about X remotely? Did you try to run it in the "-console" mode, as it suggested?

I'll take a guess that this is Oracle...if you log in as one user, then su to the oracle user, you'll have to re-export the display...since you started a new shell environment. If this is Oracle, have you contacted them?
