Two things: (Probably Simple) Grub question, and a gDesklets question

Okay, the Grub one first:
I there a way to stop grub from automatically loading an OS? i.e. so you HAVE to choose one?

At the minute I have just set the 'timeout' setting in grub.config to 30, but I'd prefer it not to count down at all if that's possible.

Okay, that aside, whenever I try to use a gDesklet object that requires the internet, they don't work and I get plagued with errors.
For example, using the "news-grab" object, from the errors, the relevant lines seem to be:

Quote:
global name 'news' is not defined
Quote:
/home/wilffo/.gdesklets/Displays/NewsGrab/NewsGrab.display
> 1 news = get_control('INewsGrab:48m60psf7xjr2nbbkjcdewmsa')
Can anyone help?

Thanks !

For the grub just rem out the line if you don't need the timer.
# timeout=5

Haven't used gdesklet and can't say on that.

Thanks !

I got rid of default=0 as well, it's as I thought.
I just wanted to check I wasn't going to screw anything up.

Can anyone help me with the gDesklet thing?

Never used gDesklet.

But, according to info grub, getting rid of default=0 will have no effect, since the default for default is zero. But with no timeout, the default setting will never be used.
