Tweaking GDM interface

I have only 1 thing against GDM, and it's that if I click on the user name, it doesn's select that user. Being that I want to try to make things as convenient as possible in the long run, anyone know how to get it so that if you click on a user name from the user list, that it selects that and inserts that name automatically for the login field, so you just have to hit enter and type in the password?

I guess what I'm asking is how to get it to act like KDM does for selecting the user that you want to log in as.

okay, so I figured out that I should use the standard interface instead of graphical. Plus, standard looks better in my opinion. Now the only matter i have to wrestle with is getting passwordless logins to work. I'ved edited /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.config but nothing I do to the line that reads "LocalNoPasswordUsers=" appears to change it. The only thing that comes close is if I do the timeout login, but that doesn't solve my problem, because I would like it to work for multi-user environments.
