Totem video is 'stretched'

Hi All,
Got a strange problem with Totem. I got a nice new FP monitor for Christmas, so I hooked up my sys to run with dual monitors on an Nvidia card (using Twinview). I'm using Totem with the Xine backend on FC4. With a single head, it works fine. But when I am using dual heads, the video is stretched so that it is twice as wide as it should be, even though it is only running on one of the monitors. Changing the aspect ratio makes no difference. It does this with video files, DVD, even the Totem splash screen is stretched like this! As soon as I go back to one monitor, it is fine again. None of the other video players I have (including Xine) have this problem when using dual heads. I can't find any settings in Totem that affect this. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

Ryan

totem video tooo wide

I have the same issue. I've noticed that vido players that use the xine backend suffer from this. I switched totem to the gstreamer backend and it cleared the issue up.
I'm pretty sure that the stretched video is due to the xine backend seeing the resolutions from your dual monitor set up as one. ie if your monitors use 1280 x 1024 and you have two monitors then xine is seeing you desktop as 2560 x 1024.
I've been trying to solve this for myself but I haven't found the answer yet. I know that you can set a virtual resolution in your xorg.conf file but I haven't gotten that to work yet.
