Thinkfan sensor input location does not stay the same

Hi
I am using Thinkfan. In the /etc/thinkfan.conf, I have to define the path to the sensor input as...

/sys/devices/platform/coretemp.0/hwmon/hwmon4/temp1_input
/sys/devices/platform/coretemp.0/hwmon/hwmon4/temp2_input
/sys/devices/platform/coretemp.0/hwmon/hwmon4/temp3_input

But the path changes sometimes from hwmon4 to hwmon3. When that happens, Thinkfan just quits.

Is there a way to keep the path from changing?

Hi, I get this same problem with hwmon(x) changing at boot depending on what may have been a usb plugged in changes the order.

What was it that fixed your problem, please?

I no longer use those three sensor inputs in my Thinkfan.conf.

Instead, I specified only this sensor: /proc/acpi/ibm/thermal.

The former three sensor readings are very spikey; while the latter is smooth.
The spikey reading makes the CPU fan more aggressive.
