Could all u peeps out there go so far as to fill in the location and maybe more relevant....distro in your profile ( left hand side of your screen) cos sometimes it would make replying to probs a lot easier......plus it`s nice to know where in the world someone else is :-) cheers mermxx :-)

I appreciate that the distro is helpful .. but the location? :)
A couple of threads I have read lately have been about `what is a good isp` and also connecting via adsl......isp`s are usually related to the country that u r in unless of course u r going with the `big ones` and also adsl connection can relate to pppOe or pppOa again relating to where in the world u r. Also if someone is asking about hardware costs then u can recommend places to go....but also it`s nice to know where in the world somewhere is :-)

To get back on topic, personally I think it's totally cool to know that the person I'm corresponding with is in a totally different part of the globe. Specifying your location is something I think everyone ought to do. Just my 2 cents -- J.W.
Not specifying your distro is one of my personal pet-peeves. It is almost to the point where I will not help someone who neglects to include this vital information. Every distro is different, and they all have different ways of doing a certain task. Just go to your User CP, put it in the distro field, and everyone is happy.
