there is no sound~why


I can only play video with no sound.

Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)

I compiled Intel HD Audio into my kernel.

Why?

Distribution: Switched to regualr Ubuntu, because I don't like KDE4, at all. Looks like vista on crack.....

You might have to configure alsa to use the correct device. What desktop are you using ? You might to google for alsaconf too.
