I have tried installing Suse 10.1 about 5 times. Every time i boot i get an error at bootup with GRUB.
"GRUB Loading stage1.5.
GRUB loading, please wait...
internal error: the second sector of Stage 2 is unknown."
I keep getting this error,i have tried changing different parts of the installation to see if that helps. Preferably i would not like to install GRUB because Suse is the only os that is going to be on this system. The system i am installing this on is.
I want to use this system for a file server and won't plan on changing much of it in the future. I currently have only a cdrom attached(no flpy or other). Please help me, i have been working on this for about 2 weeks solid now.
If someone could tell me how to uninstall grub so i could go on to finish installing suse that would be great, or how to fix the problem, either would be appreciated.
Also on the Suse install it froze every time at something catalog screen, then i added the extra 64mb of ram and the freezing stopped. Do you think that my version is corrupt for some reason, because i know it shouldnt take that much ram to inst it.
