submitting a bug report

yo, just want definite clarification

i'm running gentoo and do emerge -u world and a couple of the libraries i need to update crap out. the first one... qt-3.1.2-r3 looks like this when it craps out... this is necessary to update both wine and mplayer.

O_STYLE_AQUA -DQT_NO_STYLE_INTERLACE -DQT_NO_STYLE_WINDOWSXP -DQT_NO_STYLE_COMPACT -I/var/tmp/portage/qt-3.1.2-r3/work/qt-x11-free-3.1.2/mkspecs/linux-g++ -I. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I../include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I.moc/release-shared-mt/ -o .obj/release-shared-mt/qguardedptr.o kernel/qguardedptr.cpp
In file included from kernel/qwindowdefs.h:44,
from kernel/qobject.h:43,
from kernel/qguardedptr.h:42,
from kernel/qguardedptr.cpp:38:
../include/qstring.h:767: internal error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/bugs.html> for instructions.
make[1]: *** [.obj/release-shared-mt/qguardedptr.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/qt-3.1.2-r3/work/qt-x11-free-3.1.2/src'
make: *** [sub-src] Error 2

!!! ERROR: x11-libs/qt-3.1.2-r3 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 130, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)

so from the gnu.org site i take it that i am to do:
gcc -v -save-temps all-your-options source-file
which in my case would be
gcc -v -save-temps all-your-options /usr/portage/qt-3.1.2-r3.ebuild

gentoo passes a lot of options... am i to scour the make.conf file and post the flags or what?

when i try to update mozilla gnupg craps out
darkstar root # emerge -u mozilla
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 3) app-crypt/gnupg-1.2.2 to /
--- No package manifest found: /usr/portage/app-crypt/gnupg/Manifest

!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: 4e1b357b22e1d45d14d340ce03d39b63
>>> your file's digest: 8748b0d0e4ae12672870d85ead4c7f67
!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//gnupg-1.2.2.tar.bz2

ive tried deleting /usr/portage/distfiles/gnupg-1.2.2.tar.bz2 several times, just emerged portage and emerge sync, no difference, these problems didnt occur before the portage update.

what to do?

Try emerging it with the -e flag (builds all dependences). If that didn't work, I would downgrade to the older portage.

Try it again tomorrow then, they may have it fixed. If not, submit a bug report here.
