was it bug and how do I report it!!

Hi I found that after upgrading to kernel 2.6.10 from 2.6.9 ,lm sensors modules(i2c-isa,
i2c-sensors and via686a(my chip)) didn't work anymore (I don't know how). Not only that when I was recompling my kernel(making bzImage) I got error when I enable bootsplash .So I had to disable that bootsplash.I now I am using my old kernel 2.6.9 (Good thing that I never deleted any kernel (even from /boot and my bootloader got about 6 ot 7 kernels version).
I was just wondering that was bug or something ??
help!

In 99.999999% of all cases it's a conifguration error you
made :} ... I'd suggest copying the .config from the old
2.6.9 kernel over, run "make oldconfig" and try again.

Cheers,
Tink

I did just that .I always copy .config and complie as old kernel for the first time I install new kernel .But in kernel 2.6.9 it regconise is2-isa and relative modules but in kernel 2.6.10 it didn't.
I think I 'll give try one more time.
