I have downloaded and installed succesfully the appolon project with apollon-dist-0.3.run . WHen apollon starts it connects to fasttrack and openft after a while but it never connects to gnutella. Also searching is a bit slow and sometimes when i search a file although i kow it is shared ( check it with kazaalite) apollon can't find it! Is any other having similiar problems? Can anyone help me?
Also FastTracks users (after FastTrack connects) from 2.4 million after 5 minutes drop to some thousands , eg. 99.3 thousands!I used apollon with no problems when i had mandrake 10.0 community , but not this version i am trying in Fedora.Should i use the older one from mandrake?

mine never connects.. I have all the plugins needed. It tries to connect using OpenFT and just sits "connecting: indefinitely.. What's the trick to getting it to connect? is there a certain port that needs to be opened?
I downloaded apollon-dist-0.4.run but I hve no idea how to use it.
I have searched but found nothing.
One thread on here recommended I get the file above but never told what to do with it.
To install using the .run file type sh apollon-dist-0.4.run at the command line I did have a problem with no networks connecting using this however, and so I got individual slackware packages and installed them and now openft and fasttrack work, not so bothered about gnutella.
same here. FastTrack is working. Seems as if trying to start the Gnutella plugin makes the others crash. So, disable Gnutella and you should be fine. Fast Track will net you 2.4 million users anyway.
Thanks. I got it working but then had a little trouble while trying to install Fedora Core 2 as my 3rd os. Now (after a reinstall) apollon just says connecting but doesn't.
