SSH Configuration


Hi.


I was wondering if I can configure SSh like this

If you fail login ( 2 or 3 time ) it will block your IP addres.

.

AFAIK there is no option like this in or for sshd_config but most likely you'd have to write your own script, etc. But I wouldn't recommend just banning or blocking the IP if its failed 2 or 3 times, usually it will disconnect after that and if it is an attacker, most will go away. I would hate to think you ban people with real access or even yourself if you accidently mistyped your password a couple of times.. I know I've done it on accident..
