SSH Configuration

Hello all,

I'm having some problems logging into my computer with SSH.

I get the following behavior:

[xxxx@xxxx ~]$ ssh xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Received disconnect from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: 2: Too many authentication failures for <user>
[xxxx@xxxx ~]$

I find it wierd that my computer doesn't even prompt for a password.

I have it set up with the normal FC4 sshd_config file, with just the added AllowUser line.

This is the behavior when I am logged in to the local computer with the same username I am attempting to log in remotely with, if I `su <otherUser>` then `ssh -l <otheruser> xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx` the login is sucessful.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
WC

Do you have a bunch of ssh keys that are failing before you are prompted for a password? You may want to try ssh -vvv to see exactly what is going on.
