Question Squirrel Mail Install

Hello everyone this is my first post and I am installing Squirrel Mail on a server and am having some problems getting it up and running. I have found many walkthroughs on the installation process from both squirrel mails site and outside options. The problem which I am running into now is that I am trying to unpack and install a file called pine-4.64-1.i386.rpm when I am unpacking this file it will go through its steps and when it gets to the updates it gives me an error screen telling me that it has "Error resolving dependencies". The file which it is looking for is libldap.so.2, I have search for the last 5 hours for this file and tried many different options which I have found with no luck. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. I am running this on Fedora 6.

Hello and welcome to LQ.

First of all I don't think that squirrelmail needs pine in order to work. Second, libldap is part of openldap. And last but not least since you have Fedora, why don't you use yum, that can install/upgrade software resolving any dependencies.

Regards

I have used yum and it is still looking for the same file. Yum is telling me that it needs this dependence.

I think that yum can resolve dependencies automatically. Anyway you can get and install openldap from here.
