Software help

Guys,
I'm looking for software that would possibly accomplish the following.
1. Access my PC (Suse/KDE) from anywhere. Something like PCanywhere. I know SSH can be used. Need help with this. Also, I would be accessing my Linux PC using a Windows laptop.
2. A good antivirus for Suse/KDE with a good GUI frontend.

Ofcourse, I'm looking for free software.
Appreciate your help.

Openssh should work for accessing the computer, though this is basically just a command line. I use it to transfer files between my work's server and my home computer. I don't know how much you would need to get setup be to access your computer. I imagine you would also need to be running some kind of server software, apache maybe?

For a gui frontend of a firewall I was recommended firestarter, which seems to work well enough, though it seems a little basic.

hmmmm

I'll try openssh. However, I would like to access using a web browser or another software.
Also, I wanted an antivirus with GUI frontend. You've specified a firewall. Isn't the inbuilt firewall for Suse any good?

Whoops I misread, I could have sworn it said firewall. If you have one built in it should work fine, ubuntu and a few other distros I think don't have a gui by default. For antivirus there isn't much, so I can't recommend anything, from what I've heard it really isn't necessary for linux since viruses aren't much of a problem. It would mostly serve to keep you from passing something on to a windows box. I have clamAV on my computer but it doesn't have a gui. There's probably one out there that works with it but I'm not aware of it.

And I'm not much help for suggesting for acessing with a browser either since I've never really had a need for something like that.
