SMC 2632W card and SAMBA config problems

I have installed an SMC2632 Wireless card in my computer and when I use netconfig, it locks up the whole computer. Also, does anyone know where to get a program to convert text from DOS/Windows to Linux? It keeps adding the white M's at the end. And I don't feel like going through 10,000 lines of text removing it manually. Back to the wireless card, whenever I try to install the drivers, the prompts in the auto configure file are messed up and the sentences make no sense. Any help on installing the drivers?

not sure aboiut the wireless card, but you can do a dos2unix filename to remove the ^M charactors

Which program do you use to install the driver? In your situation, with messed config files, it might be neccessary to do this manually.

After the destruction of Windows, I'll try that.

I'll have to try the dos2unix program to see if I have it. If I don't, then what did I waste my HD space on?
