Hi everyone!
I recently installed kernel source version 2.4.20-6 for Red Hat Linux 9.0. I don’t know whether it was supposed to, but it installed itself to /lib/modules/… and I forgot the rest (anyway it wasn’t usr/src/…). My Red Hat Distribution did not come with the source (it’s from Red Hat Linux For Dummies and it’s a publisher’s edition). Anyway, I needed my smlink modem to work, so I downloaded the tar.gz file and I can’t understand a couple of things:
What do they mean when they say “KERNEL_INCLUDES=/path/to/linux/include” I don’t know where to lead it to. So I decided to just lead the path to the folder containing the kernel source. However, when I try to install make, it gives me a big list and then gives me this error: “make: *** [kernel-ver.o] Error 1
Linux is a great system….I just need to get online! Please help!!!!
Thanks
