skype call failed


hi,
If I start skype from command line and try to make a call, I get the following:

Code:
/dev/dsp-1: Device or resource busy
but there is nothing else running....

Do you have some other program running at the same time which is using the sound card? I have problems with Skype where it won't work if I have XMMS or anything else open playing music.

i was able to do the following to see what process was using the device, and kill it. turns out mine was a movie that i had no idea that was open.

fuser /dev/dsp
