setting system time via the command line

Hey Everyone,
I built a computer to act as a NFS server the other day. I'm running it with no frills and no X. This is all fine except I can't set the system time ('cause there's no GNOME or KDE) and it's about 9 hours off. My BIOs is new and very automatic so I can't set the time there... I can just tell it whether to boot from the network or locally... that's it. So my question is what's the command to set the clock in Linux? I've looked at the 'time' command's man pages but it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for.

Thanks,

Thanks, that was just what I was looking for. You're right it does take a bit of work but I got it figured out.

the time command is sort of for benchmarking things.
like
time dd if=/dev/zero of=/bigfile bs=1M count=1000
would time how long it takes to write a 1 gig file.
