Hello everybody,
I have a disk plugged onto Sheevaplug, and shared it via samba. Disk is formatted as ext3. When i put a file has the name contains Turkish characters to the disk via samba from Windows machine, these characters become unmentioned ones.
how can i solve this issue? Linux distro is Debian.
Have you installed the required 'Turkish' language packs on the host machine?
I don't speak/read turkish, but this site is supposed to have turkish localisation problems and answers: http://www.linux.org/docs/ldp/howto/Turkish-HOWTO.html
Yes, i installed the language packages. I don't have any problem with Turkish special characters in console but in the samba shares. I already done what he says in the page link you sent me.
Do i have to specify the character encoding in samba?
