I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to set up smb.conf to allow ADS users to access a file.
I can get them to connect if you enter a username and password but I would like it to authenticate automatically using winbind. I have it installed and running fine. i think the last step is getting the smb.conf in the right order.

comment = 2005 backup files
path = /backup
guest ok = yes
writeable = yes
valid users = @ADSDOMAIN\Domain Users
public = no
printable = no
force create mode = 0770
force directory mode = 0770
force group = ADSDOMAIN/Domain Users

is this correct or in the right direction?

also... my windows group is "Domain Users" how do i represent a space in .conf files?
when i run "testparm" the valid users are coming back: "@ADSDOMAIN\Domain, Users"

You'll have to use windbind and pam with samba. There was an artical in Linux Magazine not to long ago.
