Running bandwidthd


Hey all,

I just installed bandwitdhd in my redhat box, when i try running it I got this error message,

./bandwdithd:error while loading shared libraries: libgd.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


Any ideas? thanks in advance......

Welcome to LQ.org, junjem0702!

You need to install libgd.so.2, but I don't use Redhat, so I can't tell you what rpm may have that library.

Try looking for it on google, maybe with the search terms 'libgd.so.2 site:www.redhat.com' to narrow down your results.

I had the exact problem, until today. I was able to find the necessary file here.
(insert http here)://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/fedora/2/i386/gd-2.0.21-3.i386.html

Worked like a champ for me on Fedora 2.

bandwidthd

I have it installed on Debian Testing, but I can't get to it, is there something I need to setup in apache?
