RPM Problem

Heres my problem:
I installed ripperX.RPM. Then decided I didnt like it so I did a search for ripperx on my hard drive and erased everything I could find. ( I know I should have done a RPM -e ripperx ) Now I want to install it again but I get a message that says the RPM is already installed.
Where is the info stored where it thinks its installed?
Using RH9 /KDE 3.1
Thanks!
Chris

I tried: rpm -ivh --force ripperX.RPM
Here is the output:
[root@cdc1 root]# rpm -ivh --force ripperX-2.5-1.i386.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
1:ripperX ########################################### [100%]

Then it just locks up... I waited 1 hour & 10 min. for it to do SOMETHING...
Rebooted, and it still thinks its installed.
any other ideas?

You just installed it now to uninstall it:
rpm -e ripperX

The reason ot hung was probably a corrupt rpm database. This should fix that:
rm -f /var/lib/rpm/_*
rpm --rebuilddb
