RoseGarden install help

I'm interested in working with MIDI, so I downloaded RoseGarden and attempted to install with the RPMs. When I run them, I get a dialog box saying it needs packages such as libasound.so.2, libjack.so.0, and some others to be installed. When I try to install those, I get similar errors. I tried rpm-get, but it doesn't seem to work right. So here's 2 questions:

1) How can I automatically solve these problems?
2)If I can't do that, can somebody who has installed RG already help me with finding all the required packages?

Thanks alot.

Well I got apt-get for RedHat installed, but when I try to install RG, it says "E: can't find package rosegarden"

I tried wildcards and different variations of the name, but it still can't find it.

Edit: It does that with every package I try; is there some kind of configuration I need to run? I did an "apt-get update" and that seemed to go okay, but it still cant find RG or any other package I try.

If you are still working with redhat 9 you should take a look at www.agnula.org
