i am using debian and i am unable to login with root account ... i want to copy some fonts to /usr/share/fonts/truefonts folder.. and how to login as root using sudo command please help me,,,

Use editor <VIM, nano...> and comment, uncomment, add lines, change lines to the required file<s>. Be sure to save the data/files after correction. Otherwise the reboot will not save the changes.
the root user deny is the most hatred thing i feel in Ubuntu and other debain based distros..
but u ca bypass this wen u install the distro..
but now u can do thse
siwch to other terminal like pressing ALT+CNTRL+F1..
then login as root
and do watevr u need..
and save..it
i found one another prob with Vi editor in Debian etch.. it canot insert or edit files..
so i am suing Nano instead of it.
While this is true it's and a "solution" to the immediate problem
(the user wants to login to the GUI as root) it's bad practice to do
so in the first place, shouldn't be encouraged and shouldn't be
necessary, either. Just use e.g.
kdesu kate
or
kdesu konqueror
if you're unable to do stuff in the command-line.
