Grip does not need Gnome installed. I use it all the time, and the only WM I have installed is FVWM.

If you don't like mp3, why not use Ogg Vorbis? Just a thought.

Not MP3 specifically ; ANY loss in compression is a NO-NO for me.(I happen to be cursed with a so-called "absolute hearing"...)
Even the best CD can't match an analogue recording and I CAN pick 'em out blindfolded.
Then think what MP3 sounds like to me.....
(And yes : My Hi-Fi set did cost me an arm and a leg. A little more , actually...)

As you might have noticed.. we aren't in the habit of adding [Solved] tags and it would take the better part of the rest of my life to update everything that appears to be solved.

As far as I know... only moderators can edit titles...

I can see why that is , but it would be quite a help for those , using the search-option....

And no ; I haven't really noticed that before , since I never had the need to edit a thread-title on this board in the past.

But now that I know ,I'll just put a big , red "SOLVED" in the top of the first post.

You can edit your own titles.

If you go to your FIRST post in the thread, and click edit, then click advanced, you can edit it there.
