Can some one please help me with what I think is a library problem. I just applied the latest RHN software via up2date, now when I try to run rhn or up2date I get the following message.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/sbin/up2date", line 11, in ?
import rpm
ImportError: librpm-4.2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The file exist in /usr/lib so I am thinking it is a pointer that is pointing to the wrong location. I have tried to re-install rpm-lib which contains the librpm-4.2.so file with no success and have also re-installed several of the rhn and up2date rpm from RedHat with no change.
Another piece of info that I am not sure if it helps. When I run ldd /bin/rpm the link show up correctly;
librpm-4.2.so => /usr/lib/librpm-4.2.so
I am stuck and not sure where to go from here.
