Question reflection 8 on RedHat 7.3

i am trying to get reflection x to connect to my red hat machine and every time it attempts the connection, i get an error stating that the "connection is refused".

i know i have name resolution both ways as i can ping them from each other by name or address. both machines are on a private network 192.168.x.x, but are on different subnets.

can anyone think of a reason why this won't work?

thnx
