Unhappy

Ok, I'm gonna try to make this really brief. I'm trying to do a partionless install on Win98 box. The reason Im doing this is that im just experimenting until I become more proficeint w/ this OS. I downloaded the redhat 6.2 iso from "linuxiso.org", burned it on a cd-rw and then went in and attempted to install. The install screen pops up, I push "enter" for install to begin. It then goes thru the hardware detection proccess, everything comes up fine, but as soon as the last item has been detected it wont continue with the install. I can't really recall what the exact error message says but the first line seems to go like this: user/bin/anaconda/server something??? line 235 error, install halt killing sessions ejecting cdrom, and then my computer reboots into window$. I have a floppy boot disk, but it wont help me any w/ my problem.. What am I doing wrong????????? Really need some advice on how to overcome this problem. I want linux in my box Soon!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP, ANYONE!!!!

Rh6.2 can give a lot of problems on an install-I've never been able to get the graphical version to work right.
Try doing a text install-just type text at the prompt. The error you get means your install failed, and you'll have to start over.
If your just experimenting, and you don't want to get to commited, try DemoLinux. No install required just set your CD-ROM to bootable and drop it in. It's a really good way to get to learn Linux without dedicating a machine to it.
download the iso from http://www.demolinux.org
