Mozilla Firefox or the Mozilla Thunderbird email client from
http://www.mozilla.org With firefox, you can bookmark an
RSS feed URL, then the latest headlines appear as bookmarks under
that URL in your bookmarks menu. With Thunderbird, it's a little more
straigh-forward, and also is pretty convenient. I usually use
centericq and load the URLs in lynx. I have feeds for
http://sourceforge.net
http://www.linuxquestions.org/
http://www.bbc.co.uk
the Associated Press
http://www.ap.org
http://www.reuters.com
http://www.cnn.com
http://history.about.com
so there's quite a wide variety to choose from. When you're at sites
that you frequent, just look for an "RSS" icon. The BBC and AP feeds
don't work under centericq for some reason. A %0d is at the end of
the BBC url, so I can view the headline, but not open it
automatically in lynx or links. The AP link just gives me a 'fetch
failed' result so I can't even get the headlines for that one. That
shouldn't be a problem for you if you're going through a GUI RSS
reader. Those both work for me using Firefox or Thunderbird. Hope
that's enough info.
