qmail-pop3d password authentication
I've been banging my head against the wall for a while now setting up qmail on a box running Fedoracore 1. I followed the instructions at lifewithqmail exactly, and I'm at the point now where I can be certain that the server is up and running and that user accounts have been setup properly.
My only problem at this point is with password authentication.
I'm using checkpassword-pam. As I understand it, in my run script under /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-pop3d/, I need to point this app to a module that lets it know what authentication method to use; in my case it should be pop. Under my /etc/pam.d/ directory I have a module called pop, but no module called qmail-pop3d. I've searched for this module and I can't find it.
My questions are as follows:
1.) Can anybody get me the qmail-pop3d module, or tell me where to find it?
2.) Am I even on the right track, thinking that this is the source of my problems? I can telnet into port 110, only to have my user/password authentication fail.
I'd appreciate any advice you guys might have, as this has been driving me nuts.
