Hi, as most people I'm worried about security. The firewall that came with mandrake 9.1, shorewall I think? doesn't help me because unless I enable "allow everything", I can't even connect to webpages. So, I read that the single network firewall is outdated, so I downloaded the multi network firewall. I've read good things about it but I have no idea how to get it to work. I installed the rpms in the install process via cdrom but I didn't complete the entire "setup" because one of the things it wanted me to do was set my root password. I already had a root password so I didn't understand why it was asking me to set one. In addition, it wanted me to set an 8 character password, when mine was only 4 and I wanted to keep it as only 4. As a result of not going through the complete install process, I don't know how to use the firewall, especially since according to the manual I'm supposed to be given a weblink or something at the end of the install. If someone could point me in the right direction as to how I use that firewall, I would greatly apprecaite it. I really don't want to have to change my root password, if possible.
