Mandrake Multi-Network firewall problems...

I've JUST installed a downloaded version of Multi Network firewall...

I have 2 network cards, a realtek 100BASET network card, and a 10 base generic compatable card. When going through the installation, everything goes fine...until I get to the setting up of the network cards. (Well, its 1/2 fine from there)

I put in all the gateway info, I put in all the local address info, etc...set the gateway device, etc to the external network card...

Afterwards, it tells me I need to go to https://xx.xx.xx.xx:8443/ on the LAN side, but that address is my Public address instead of the 192.168.0.80 I had set the local connection for.

Could it be possible that I have some things reversed in my installation? I am pretty sure I've matched the two cards up correctly, but it dont work.

And also, I just found out that I cannot access anything through this computer with links...so its gotta be something on my end.

should I change the gateway device?...what should I do? I'm lost...and there is absolutely NO DOCUMENTATION for MNF

I believe you have your adapters mixed up. Try switching your network cable to get the 192.168.0.80 interface on your lan. I assume if you are using the web interface you have another PC available. Try to ping to the private IP that you gave to your box the 192.168.0.80. ( I also assume you know how to ping a box as well?) Once you can do this then you can get into the interface. https://xxxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8443 Once inside there is a ton of documentation that you can read for hours on end.

Sounds like during the install you just have your adapter mixed up. and the interfaces are backwards. If this does not work email me a gcombe@royutah.org and send your contact info and I can try to walk you through it.

Cheers.
