Exclamation Problems installing rarlinux-3.5

I downloaded rar for linux from rarsoft.com but don't know how to install it.
This is what I have tried and the response my computer gives me:
[root@al4589 rar]# sh Makefile
Makefile: line 8: install:: command not found
Makefile: line 9: PREFIX: command not found
Makefile: line 10: PREFIX: command not found
Makefile: line 11: PREFIX: command not found
Makefile: line 13: PREFIX: command not found
I've downloaded gnomeRAR but I need to have rarlinux installed for it to work. Anyone know what to do

winrar from linux isnt free plus its only command line based which will need alot of studying to make things happen

i use ark does a fine job has a nice gui but best of all its free. it should have been installed with kde if not it'll be on the cd
