Problems compiling glade

Hello,

I am currently compiling glade. In the linking process I get always the following error :

/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -L/usr/local/lib -o glade-2 debug.o editor.o gb.o gbwidget.o glade_widget_data.o gbsource.o glade.o glade_atk.o glade_clipboard.o glade_gnome.o glade_gnomelib.o glade_gnomedblib.o glade_gtk12lib.o glade_keys_dialog.o glade_menu_editor.o glade_palette.o glade-parser.o glade_plugin.o glade_project.o glade_project_options.o glade_project_view.o glade_project_window.o keys.o load.o main.o palette.o property.o save.o source.o source_os2.o styles.o tree.o utils.o gbwidgets/libgbwidgets.a gnome/libgnomewidgets.a -Wl,--export-dynamic -pthread -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/X11/lib -lgnomeui-2 -lSM -lICE -lgnome-keyring -lbonoboui-2 -lxml2 -lz -lgnomecanvas-2 -lgnome-2 -lpopt -lart_lgpl_2 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lcairo -lgnomevfs-2 -lbonobo-2 -lgconf-2 -lgobject-2.0 -lbonobo-activation -lORBit-2 -lm -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl -lgthread-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lSM -lICE -lX11
libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.la'

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

When I do the following :

root@slackie:/home/jan/packages/glade-2.0.0# ldconfig -p|grep libgtk-x11
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 (libc6) => /usr/local/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
libgtk-x11-2.0.so (libc6) => /usr/local/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so

I see that the libraries are installed. I have already tried to add --x-librarys=/usr/local/lib as parameter to ./configure, but that doesn't solve the problem. Maybe someone knows howto fix the error?

Greetz,

Jan Meskens

Code:
/etc/ld.so.conf

I've checked it : It's in the ld.so.config... , so running ldconfig again doesn't matter I think.

Yes, it does. It will check the directories in that file for libraries.
