Problem with O O Spreadsheet

I am using spreadsheet for a chart (not using math functions) but I am having a problem. Many of the fields are for coded abbreviations, and in some cases a 3 letter format in which I want the first 2 letters upper case and the third letter lower case. The program keeps changing it to only the first, but does allow all upper case. I need "ABc", but it only allows "Abc" or "ABC".

Hi,

Have a look at these options and change to your liking:

Tools -> Options -> Language Settings -> Writing Aids -> Options:
- Check uppercase words
- Check Capitalization

Hope this helps.

This is a useful collection of stuff, if you don't know about it:

I've started working my way through the Writer guide and I keep finding features I never knew existed, including one I'd always complained was missing!

I tried the Check Capitalization. It was on, so I switched it off, then back on. That wasn't it. I found it under the Autocorrect Options: "Correct TWo INitial CApitals" needed to be unchecked. That seems like a pretty obscure issue, but I guess it is for hitting the second letter before releasing the shift key. While I was looking for that, I came up with another question. Is there a way to add to the Special Characters list. I have some special characters that I found in some spam emails in the sender field. I copied & pasted them into a word processor file, but can I add them to the special characters grid?
